On March 11, the Office of the Ninh Thuan Provincial People's Committee announced that Provincial Chairman Tran Quoc Nam had signed a decision to establish a Steering Committee for Waste Prevention and Control under the Ninh Thuan Provincial People's Committee.
The Steering Committee consists of members: Mr. Tran Quoc Nam - Chairman of Ninh Thuan province and Head of the Steering Committee; Permanent Deputy Head of the Committee is Mr. Le Huyen - Vice Chairman of the province. In addition, the Deputy Heads of the Steering Committee will be held by the Director of the Department of Finance and the Chief Inspector of Ninh Thuan province.
According to the Decision, members of the Steering Committee include the Director of the Public Security, Chief of Office, Directors of Departments, branches, local leaders...
In terms of function, the Steering Committee is an inter-sectoral coordination organization, with the function of assisting the Chairman of Ninh Thuan province in handling important, inter-sectoral tasks related to waste prevention and control of the Provincial People's Committee.
According to the Decision, the Department of Finance shall preside over and coordinate with Departments, branches and localities to develop annual programs and plans for practicing thrift and combating waste in the province; report the results of practicing thrift and combating waste to serve the annual meetings of the Provincial People's Council; promptly synthesize and advise the Steering Committee to have a monthly report (dated on 25.5) to the Steering Committee for preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity in the province.
