On April 15, in an exchange with Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Quang Minh - Chairman of Quy Nhon Tay Ward People's Committee (Gia Lai) - confirmed that a case had just occurred in the area where members of the Forest Inspection Team of Quy Nhon Forestry Co., Ltd. were burned by bees while on duty.
According to initial information, at about 7 am on the same day, 5 members of the team were inspecting the forest according to plan in plot 7, sub-area 352 (Long Thanh neighborhood, Quy Nhon Tay ward) when they were suddenly attacked by bees. At about 12 pm, Quy Nhon Tay Ward Police received a report.
The members include: Mr. Ho Thanh Vu (born 1986, residing in Quy Nhon Bac ward), Mr. Nguyen Van Tam (born 1986, residing in Quy Nhon ward), Mr. Pham Ba Hieu (born 1976, residing in Quy Nhon ward), Mr. Nguyen Quang Hieu (born 1980, residing in Quy Nhon ward) and Mr. Le Phuoc Duc (born 1983, residing in Quy Nhon Dong ward).
As a result, Mr. Ho Thanh Vu died on the spot; the remaining 4 people were injured and were taken to medical facilities for emergency treatment.
