At about 3:30 p.m. on August 3, 2025, in the vacant land area of Quang Tan commune, Quang Ninh province, the working group of the Professional Affairs Department of the Quang Ninh Provincial Border Guard in coordination with Po Hen Border Guard Station discovered two cars carrying a large quantity of suspected smuggled food.
The first car with license plate 14B-038.xx was driven by Nguyen Van L (born in 1992), residing in Zone 5, Mong Cai 3 Ward, Quang Ninh Province.
Through inspection, the authorities discovered that the vehicle was carrying 600kg of frozen hook bones, 1,200kg of frozen young eggs and 600kg of frozen pork belly.
The second car with license plate 29D-535.xx was driven by Le Van Ch (born in 1991), residing in Dong Rui village, Hai Lang commune, Quang Ninh province.
Checking the vehicle, the authorities discovered 240kg of frozen hoes, 800kg of frozen young chicken eggs and 1,950kg of frozen pork belly.
The total amount of evidence seized from the two vehicles was nearly 7 tons of frozen food, including: bone marrow, young eggs and pork belly.
At the time of inspection, both drivers could not present documents proving the origin of the above goods. The working group brought the subjects, the vehicle and all the evidence to Po Hen Border Guard Station for further investigation and handling according to the provisions of law.
