Accordingly, the Forest Protection Department and the Management Board of Bai Tu Long National Park have presided over monitoring of wildlife in the forest ecosystems of Bai Tu Long National Park with a total of 8 repeat monitoring routes on various types of habitats, such as: Rainforest ecosystem on the mountains and land, Rainforest ecosystem on the rocky mountains, mangrove forest ecosystem. During the implementation process, attention was paid to high points, puddles, streams, and animal shelters.
As a result, on the monitoring routes in the rainforest ecosystem on the ground: The monitoring team conducted 3 monitoring routes, and found traces of many wildlife species, including 5 species in the Vietnam Red Book. These are Hoang (Muntiacus muntjak annamensis), Black reptile (Cervus unicolor equinus), Viverricula indica, tiger and chief (Ophiophagus hannah), Black Soc (Ratufa bicolor gigantea) and some other wild animals, such as: Centropus Bengalensis), Wild pigs (Sus scrofa), Viverricula indica, Nh Nh Nhin (Hystrix brachyristura subcristata-Swinhoe), Passeri formats ( Passeri formats)... In particular, the monitoring team directly caught and recorded a Hoang Caua individual weighing about 20 kg searching for food in the forest in Section 6, Sub-area 201 of Ba Mon Island.

In the area where wildlife always inhabits and makes a living in high places and puddles: The monitoring team arranged 2 monitoring routes along Van Lau stream (the largest stream on Ba Mon island) and the Ao Nai area to Cao Lo peak.
