Vice Chairman of a commune in Lang Son was threatened with sensitive photos

Lang Son - Authorities are verifying the case of a Vice Chairman of a commune in Cao Loc district whose sensitive photos were released for blackmail.

In recent days, social networks have been abuzz with news that a Vice Chairman of a commune in Lang Son had his sensitive images and text messages used for blackmail.

Accordingly, the person the group targeted was Mr. Duong Dinh San - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Xuan Long commune, Cao Loc district.

According to the shared information, a person claiming to be a woman took the initiative to make friends and text Mr. San. After that, the two interacted with each other using sensitive images and text messages.

Next, the subject used the above images and content to blackmail the leader of Xuan Long commune.

Initially, the amount offered by the subject was only about 3 - 4 million VND. Later, this number was increased to 80 million VND.

However, when Mr. San did not agree to give the above amount of money, all the sensitive messages and images were sent by the subject to many people at a number of public agencies in Cao Loc district, Lang Son province.

Immediately after the incident, on his personal Facebook page named Duong San, Mr. Duong Dinh San posted the following explanation: "On the evening of September 7, 2024, I was hypnotized into doing whatever I said, blackmailed with sensitive images and asked to do as they said. At that time, I was not aware of anything and just followed them."

Regarding this incident, on the afternoon of September 21, speaking with reporters, Mr. Tran Quoc Chinh - Chairman of the People's Committee of Xuan Long Commune, Cao Loc District confirmed that Mr. Duong Dinh San is currently holding the position of Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of the Commune. At the same time, he said that the People's Committee of the Commune is aware of the information and has reported to the Cao Loc District Party Committee for verification and clarification.

"The case is currently being verified, clarified, and considered. If there is any violation, superiors will take action," Mr. Chinh informed.

On the same day, PV tried to contact Mr. Duong Dinh San, however, could not be reached.
