Quang Tri - Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung inspected the progress of many key projects and visited people in flood-prone areas.

On November 14, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung inspected the progress of many key projects and visited and encouraged people affected by floods in Quang Tri province.

Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung and the working delegation surveyed major projects including Quang Tri Industrial Park, My Thuy Port Area, Quang Tri Airport and the Van Ninh - Cam Lo section of the North - South Expressway in the East phase 2021 - 2025.

In Dien Sanh commune, the Deputy Prime Minister inspected the Quang Tri Industrial Park project implemented by the VSIP - Amata - Sumitomo Joint Venture, with a total investment of more than VND 2,000 billion and a scale of more than 480 hectares. Phase 1 has completed site clearance, and the leveling and infrastructure items are under construction. The project currently attracts 4 investors with a total capital of 51 million USD, expected to create jobs for more than 3,000 workers.

In Gio Linh commune, the Deputy Prime Minister inspected the progress of the Quang Tri Airport project, which started construction in July 2024 with a total capital of more than VND 5,800 billion. The project consists of 7 packages, but there are currently more than 25 hectares of site that have not been handed over, affecting the overall construction progress...

The Deputy Prime Minister requested investors and contractors to speed up construction to ensure the committed progress. Quang Tri province needs to focus on site clearance, clean land allocation, and work with potential investors to attract more resources.

Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung emphasized that localities must simultaneously develop infrastructure, reform administration and prepare human resources, creating a favorable environment to attract investment. Departments and branches are required to adjust mining capacity to ensure construction materials for key projects, creating development momentum for the province.
