Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet Expressway is planned with 2 rest stops at Km205+092 through Ham Thuan Bac district and at Km144+560 through Tuy Phong district, Binh Thuan province.
The area of each station is 10 hectares, including the left and right sides of the route. The station at Km205 is being accelerated for temporary operation from January 20, serving people returning home for Tet.
On January 15, Tuy Phong District People's Committee said that the site clearance work for the Rest Stop at Km144+560 still faces many difficulties and complications and may not meet the requirements for site handover as prescribed.
Previously, on November 27, 2024, Tuy Phong District People's Committee reported on difficulties and obstacles in site clearance and proposed to adjust the planned location of the Km144+560 Rest Stop to move to Km147+500, which was agreed upon with Project Management Board 7 (investor of Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet Expressway).
After listening to the report on the situation and progress of compensation and site clearance for the investment project of 2 rest stops on the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway, on December 27, 2024, the People's Committee of Binh Thuan province assigned the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Planning and Investment and the People's Committee of Tuy Phong district to review the difficulties and problems in compensation and site clearance for the Km144+560 rest stop to propose solutions.
For the backup plan for the Rest Stop location that meets technical requirements and is convenient for site clearance, Tuy Phong District People's Committee will coordinate with relevant units to survey, research and propose to the Provincial People's Committee.
Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet Expressway is 100.8km long, the entire route passes through Binh Thuan province and will be put into operation, exploiting the main route from May 19, 2023, and inaugurated on June 18, 2023.
