Police contribute to building a new house
Quang Binh province is trying to implement the program of erasing temporary houses and dilapidated houses for poor and near -poor households in the area, striving to fulfill the goals set out before June 30, 2025. With the determination to "not let anyone be left behind", the province has mobilized the political system, social resources and the active participation of the police force, youth union members and people.
In Cao Quang commune (Tuyen Hoa district), the commune police force coordinated with the Youth Union and other forces to support the family of Mr. Dang Manh Chien - a poor household with a seriously degraded house, demolished the old house and built a new house. Not only providing material support, officers and soldiers also directly contribute working days, transporting materials, demonstrating a sense of responsibility for the community.
Senior Lieutenant Trinh Van Quan - Deputy Head of the Youth Union of Quang Binh Provincial Police said that the youth of the Provincial Police have participated in supporting about 200 working days, transporting, dismantling and building houses for people, especially concentrated in Tuyen Hoa district. The police force also donated 600 million VND, 190 tons of cement and nearly 900 working days, contributing to speeding up the implementation progress.

Up to now, Tuyen Hoa district has started construction of 212/213 houses, creating conditions for people to soon have stable housing and feel secure in economic development. Colonel Nguyen Thanh Liem, Director of Quang Binh Provincial Police, emphasized that the police force will continue to accompany and mobilize businesses and philanthropists to join hands in implementing the program.
In parallel with the police force, the Quang Binh Provincial Youth Union also launched an emulation movement "Youth union members contribute 20,000 working days to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses" in Tuyen Hoa and Minh Hoa districts. In Trung Hoa commune, union members of Minh Hoa district helped Mr. Dinh Xuan Luu's family - a near-poor, elderly household, complete the repair of their house. The new, more solid house has brought joy and confidence to the entire family of Mr. Luu and the villagers.
Spreading the spirit of community
The program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the 2024-2025 period has spread widely, becoming a widespread emulation movement, attracting strong responses from all levels, sectors, units and organizations across the province.

The Provincial People's Committee has allocated more than 71 billion VND to implement and mobilize more than 1.2 billion VND from socialized sources.

Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Binh province Tran Phong said that the housing support program for poor households is one of the key tasks in implementing the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress.
The province continues to assign specific targets, launch peak emulation and mobilize coordination of armed forces, localities and units to optimize resources, in which the budget focuses on materials with labor remaining supported by on-site forces.
The province pays special attention to the practical effectiveness of the program, not only stopping at having new houses, but also being a place where people can settle down and feel secure in developing a long-term life.
