On the afternoon of March 4, the People's Committee of Quang Nam province held a press conference on activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the province's liberation (March 24, 1975 - March 24, 2025) and the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Provincial Party Committee (March 28, 1930 - March 28, 2025), to review revolutionary traditions, pay tribute to previous generations and introduce achievements after 50 years of liberation.
The main activities of the event series include: Visiting policy families, offering incense in memory, lighting candles to pay tribute to heroic martyrs and Vietnamese Heroic Mothers who sacrificed; exhibiting socio-economic achievements; workshops on tourism development and groundbreaking and inauguration of key projects.
The highlight of the event is the celebration on the evening of March 24, 2025 at 24.3 Square (Tam Ky City), with a special art program and fireworks display.
The ceremony was attended by leaders of the Party, State, ministries, branches, and domestic and foreign delegates.The event was broadcast live on Quang Nam Radio and Television and rebroadcast nationwide.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hong - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Nam province said that this was the first time Quang Nam organized a high-altitude fireworks display, for about 15 minutes, at the 24.3 square, right after the celebration.All funding for fireworks displays was mobilized from socialized sources.
On this occasion, Quang Nam province also supported each residential area with 15 million VND, to organize celebrations and festivals, the total support budget for the whole province was nearly 20 billion VND.
Meanwhile, on March 12, Quang Ngai will organize a fireworks display at Pham Van Dong Square to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Ba To Uprising and the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Quang Ngai province.
The project to upgrade Pham Van Dong Street and Pham Van Dong Square in Quang Ngai City, with a total investment of 146 billion VND, is being urgently completed. This is where the 80th Anniversary of the Ba To Uprising (March 11) and the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of Quang Ngai Province (March 24.) will be held.
The project has a total implementation area of about 12.2 hectares. In the past time, construction units have mobilized about 700 officers and workers to urgently work day and night to speed up progress, ensuring the completion of service for important events of the province. According to a report by Quang Ngai City, the renovation of Pham Van Dong Square will be completed on March 8.
On March 10, the units will decorate the stage, where the 80th Anniversary of the Ba To Uprising and the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of Quang Ngai Province will be held. On the evening of March 11, the Organizing Committee will conduct a rehearsal of the entire program. The official program took place on the evening of March 12. The ceremony includes a Ceremony, an Art Program and low-altitude fireworks display with the participation of about 800 delegates.
According to Ms. Bui Thi Quynh Van - Secretary of the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee, the province is focusing on the activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Ba To Uprising and the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Quang Ngai province. In particular, there are two key events: organizing a workshop on Ba To Initiation and the main program of the ceremony taking place on the evening of March 12. Currently, the preparation work has been carried out very carefully by Quang Ngai, especially the official program. Quang Ngai City is rushing to complete Pham Van Dong Square. All work has been carefully prepared so that the ceremony can take place solemnly, creating an impression in the hearts of delegates as well as people and visitors attending.
