This bridge is about 2 km long and is expected to be implemented from 2027-2029.
Currently, the means of transportation between these two islands are boats and ferries, with a one-way time of about 20 minutes under normal weather conditions.
Thanh Lan Island, 27km2 wide, is the largest island in the Co To archipelago, holding a particularly important strategic position in the Gulf of Tonkin. On the island, there are about 1,600 people who live mainly by fishing, and have started exploiting tourism.
