On April 13, the People's Committee of Quang Ninh Province issued Directive No. 03/CT-UBND, requesting the Chairman of Ha Long City People's Committee and Binh Lieu District to urgently instruct the consequences of forest fires that occurred on the night of 12.4 and investigate, clarify the causes, strictly handle violations of regulations on forest fire prevention and fighting.
According to the report, on the night of April 12, there were two major forest fires in Dai Yen ward (Ha Long City) and sub -area 291, Khe Ban area (Binh Lieu town, Binh Lieu district).

The fires burned over 40 hectares of real estate, mainly forest to break after Yagi storm. The local authorities mobilized more than 400 people over the night to put out the fire, until dawn on April 13 to control the fire.
After Typhoon Yagi (typhoon No. 3, 2024), Quang Ninh province had about 171,000 hectares of damaged forests, creating about 6 million tons of flammable materials such as stems, branches, roots and dry leaves.
Although there have been many guiding documents, the cleaning of forests after the storm has not been completed due to large volumes and lack of labor.
In fact, the situation of forest fires has continuously occurred in localities with forest breaking, causing serious damage to forest resources, the environment and affecting people's lives.
The Directive of the People's Committee of Quang Ninh Province requires localities, departments, forest owners and functional forces to strengthen management, inspection and supervision of affected forest areas. It is necessary to be ready for forces and means according to the motto "four in place" to promptly respond and limit damage caused by forest fires.
The province requires strictly handling acts of abusing forests to burn forests illegally, especially for forests planted with state budget capital.
Forest owners must complete the plan of liquidation, restoration and re -planting forests as prescribed.
The province directed the provincial Media Center and mass organizations to strengthen the propagation and warning of forest fires in the hot sun; mobilize people, members and union members to raise awareness and actively participate in the protection and forest fire prevention and fighting.
