Quang Tri improves investment environment, supports businesses

Quang Tri - The locality has organized a meeting with businesses, made a commitment to improve the investment environment and increase business support.

On October 11, on the occasion of Vietnamese Entrepreneurs Day (October 13), the People's Committee of Quang Tri province held a meeting with 300 typical enterprises, representing nearly 3,500 enterprises operating in production and business in the area.

Accordingly, in the first 9 months of 2024, the total budget revenue in Quang Tri province was over 3,260 billion VND, reaching over 83.6% of the assigned estimate and equal to 123.5% of the same period in 2023. The total mobilized capital in the area as of September 30 reached 39,700 billion VND, an increase of 8.96% compared to the end of 2023; total outstanding loans to the economy reached 53,400 billion VND, an increase of 3.47% compared to the end of 2023; total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue increased by 12.71% over the same period in 2023.

Up to now, the whole province has 75/101 communes meeting new rural standards; key programs and driving projects have been focused on and directed drastically and urgently, creating positive changes. To achieve these results, there is a significant contribution from entrepreneurs and businesses in the area.

At the meeting, Mr. Vo Van Hung, Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Tri province acknowledged, praised and highly appreciated the contributions of the business community in the area. Enterprises in Quang Tri are not only production and business units, but also companions of the government in social and humanitarian activities. Many enterprises have proactively participated in charity programs, gratitude work, helping and supporting people in particularly difficult areas or when natural disasters and epidemics occur.

The Chairman of the Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee emphasized that the Quang Tri provincial government will continue to create the most favorable conditions for businesses and entrepreneurs to develop and succeed. The province is committed to further improving the investment environment, simplifying administrative procedures and increasing policy support, creating equality and transparency in all business activities.
