Implemented since June 9, the Ba Dinh Square expansion project (Hanoi) has basically completed the items according to the design, ensuring quality, aesthetics and meeting the set schedule, ready for activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day September 2.
The project includes the following items: demolishing 4 villas in the area south of Ba Dinh Square; expanding 4 rows of lawns to the south of Ba Dinh Square grass yard; building a security fence on Doc Lap and Chua Mot Cot streets; building and supplementing an information, communication and television system in the area south of Ba Dinh Square.
Along with that is the construction and addition of an automatic irrigation system, manual irrigation and drainage system for the expanded grass area, access areas adjacent to existing grass areas; installation of lighting systems for roads, yards, sidewalks, and cluster lights; pouring concrete and treating the surface of Hung Vuong Street, making the sidewalks floating and walking paths.



Mr. Nguyen Van Tho - representative of Truong Son Construction Corporation (Army Corps 12, Ministry of National Defense) - in charge of the construction and equipment installation team said that up to now, the unit has basically completed the workload, including paving sidewalks, installing a drainage system, planting grass and trees around President Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, installing underground equipment, manholes...
All teams are trying to race against time, working day and night to ensure progress.
In addition to renovating and embellishing Ba Dinh Square, Hanoi is urgently installing a grandstand system with a capacity of up to 30,000 seats.
The main stand is installed along Doc Lap Street, facing directly towards President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum, to serve guests and delegates attending the upcoming 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2.
The stage area is arranged on the left side of President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum and is facing the stands, which are also being urgently constructed. Items such as sound systems, lighting and signal transmission equipment are also being installed to serve programs in time for the big holiday.




In addition, the Hung Vuong Street expansion project, from Tran Phu to Nguyen Thai Hoc, is also being renovated and upgraded.
The section of Hung Vuong Street intersecting with Phan Dinh Phung - Quan Thanh Street has been replaced with a series of median strips painted with yellow paint. This is one of the main routes to serve the parade and march.
According to the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper, in recent days, workers have been constructing items to renovate and embellish the Ba Dinh Square area with a great sense of urgency, responsibility and pride, making efforts to complete items to serve the National Day celebration on September 2.



The 80th anniversary of the success of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2 took place at 6:30 a.m. on September 2 at Ba Dinh Square and some central streets of Hanoi, with about 30,000 people attending (not including parades and parades).
The program includes traditional rituals, speeches by Party and State leaders, parades, and parades from 7:45 and ends with an art performance at 10:00 a.m.
