On July 20, the People's Committee of Gia Lai province announced that it will soon launch an art program at the Hoan Kiem Lake - Chu Dang Ya tourist area to attract tourists.
At the same time, relevant departments and branches are implementing the planning of the Hoan Kiem Sea - Chu Dang Ya tourist area in a systematic manner, with the focus on respecting identity and enhancing natural values.
The Hoan Kiem Sea is located in the "Hoan Kiem Sea Forest Eco-tourism Area - Chu Dang Ya" complex, which has just been added to the list of national tourist areas according to the "Overall plan for tourism development in Vietnam and the Central Highlands to 2020, with a vision to 2030".
Every November, the million-year-old volcano Chu Dang Ya (Sea Lake commune) attracts many tourists to visit the blooming wild sunflowers. Along with gong festivals and traditional culture of the Jrai, Ba Na, ... these places always have great appeal to tourists.

The People's Committee of Gia Lai province requested to transfer the task of making a general plan for the construction of the Hoan Kiem Sea - Chu Dang Ya tourist area from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to the Department of Construction.
Accordingly, the Department of Construction is responsible for speeding up the implementation progress according to the correct procedures and regulations.
Mr. Pham Anh Tuan - Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee affirmed that the Hoan Kiem - Chu Dang Ya Sea area is a rare landscape area with special value at the national and provincial levels. Therefore, the planning process needs to be implemented quickly but must be carefully, methodically, and harmoniously between conservation and development.
The planning focuses on investing in transport infrastructure and expanding the landscape protection area, towards sustainable development.
