At noon on April 27, at the headquarters of the HCMC Journalists Association, the Central Steering Committee celebrated the major holidays and important historical events of the country in the period of 2023 - 2025 (referred to as the Steering Committee) held the Press Center's launching ceremony to serve the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and the Unification of the country (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc emphasized that the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification has received widespread attention and support from domestic and international press.
To date, 169 international reporters from 39 news agencies and newspapers from 17 countries, along with more than 630 reporters from 81 domestic press agencies, have registered to work at this important event.
Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee said that the press center served the celebration was located at the headquarters of the Journalists Association of Ho Chi Minh City, right next to the area of the rally, parade and parade, in order to create the most favorable conditions for reporters and editors to work.
Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc affirmed that the Press Center plays a very important role in the success of press activities at the ceremony. Therefore, relevant departments, branches and units need to coordinate closely, creating the most favorable conditions for business activities to take place smoothly and effectively, ensuring photography, television broadcasting, and live soundcasting to serve the celebration.
The Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee also expressed his hope that the press force will maintain "bright hearts, inward hearts, and beauty", contributing to spreading the good values of Vietnam - a peace-loving nation, and the image of Ho Chi Minh City as friendly, generous, traditional and future-oriented.

Also within the framework of the ceremony, the Ministry of Science and Technology in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and the Vietnam Post Corporation organized the issuance of special postage stamps "The 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and the reunification of the country (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025)".
The stamp set includes 2 stamp models and 1 Block, with dimensions of 32x43 mm for the stamp and 70x100 mm for the Block, respectively. The stamps are worth 4,000 VND and 15,000 VND, designed by artist Nguyen Du (Vietnam Post Corporation).
With three main colors of red, yellow and blue - the flag color of the National Liberation Front of South Vietnam - a set of stamps is shown vividly, standing out on the background of white pigeon statues in the middle of "red of the earth and the blue of the sky", symbolizing peace, solidarity and bright future.
