On December 9, according to information from Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV), at Long Thanh airport (Dong Nai province), the cleaning of the runway and taxiway is being urgently carried out in preparation for the first technical flight on December 19.

According to ACV, the first runway and taxiway have completed construction and equipment installation, and have conducted standard flights that are qualified for operation.
According to the schedule, the Long Thanh airport project must be basically completed, ensuring standards and conditions for inauguration and receiving the first flight on December 19, 2025.
According to Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV), the project investor, to serve the construction of 12 packages, contractors are mobilizing nearly 14,000 experts, engineers, workers and more than 3,000 construction equipment, organizing hundreds of construction teams to speed up the progress with the goal of basically completing the project before December 19, 2025. With the high determination of contractors, the main packages of Component Project 3 and Long Thanh Airport Project are closely following the set schedule.

The Long Thanh International Airport construction investment project is one of the important national-level projects of the transport sector. Long Thanh International Airport is planned to reach level 4F (the highest level of the International Civil Aviation Organization - ICAO); is an important international airport of the country, aiming to become one of the air transit centers of the region, with a scale and capacity after completing all 3 phases of 100 million passengers/year and 5 million tons of cargo/year.
In the immediate future, phase 1 will invest in the construction of a runway, a passenger terminal with a capacity of 25 million passengers/year, a cargo terminal with 1.2 million tons of cargo/year and synchronous auxiliary items.
