The investment project to build the Ninh Binh - Hai Phong expressway, the section through Ninh Binh province, has a route length of 25.3km; the starting point is at Mai Son intersection connecting with the North-South expressway in the East (in Mai Son commune, Yen Mo district), the end point is at the Day River overpass connecting Ninh Binh and Nam Dinh provinces (in Khanh Cuong commune, Yen Khanh district).
The project has a scale of 4 complete lanes, a design speed of 120km/h, a roadbed width of nearly 25m, and a road surface width of 15m. The entire route will have 12 bridges, including 3 overpasses and 3 interconnecting intersections. The total investment is 6,865 billion VND, including the central budget and the Ninh Binh provincial budget. The project is expected to be completed in 2029.
