On the morning of December 9, the Department of Construction coordinated with the Department of Agriculture and Environment, the Provincial Civil Defense Command, the Traffic Police Department and related units to inspect and overcome the landslide at the landslide site of Km84+700 of Provincial Road 547 (coastal road) through Ky Xuan commune.

Through on-site inspection, the interdisciplinary team assessed that the handling of the landslide at Km84+700 of Provincial Road 547 in Ky Xuan commune had basically ensured safety, agreeing to allow people and vehicles to travel from 2:00 p.m. on the same day.
As reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, the impact of the major period from October 29 to November 7, at Km84+700 of Provincial Road 547 in Ky Xuan Commune, a landslide appeared on the positive slope, causing about 13,500m3 of soil and rock to overflow onto the road, causing traffic congestion.
Immediately after the landslide occurred, the authorities arranged leveling to soon clear the route, but during this process, another landslide suddenly occurred, damaging 1 excavator, a truck and injuring 2 workers.
After that, the Department of Construction banned the road, diverted traffic and implemented repairs for many days. Up to now, the repair work to ensure traffic has been basically completed.

Currently, the slope of the positive slope has been dug and pulled up relatively stably; the entire volume of landslides and rocks has been cleared and removed from the road surface.
According to the assessment, currently, at the section Km84+700 of Provincial Road 547, there is still a potential risk of landslides, so although this route has been allowed to open to traffic, there are still signs and rotating lights warning traffic participants to pay attention.
Regarding long-term solutions, especially during the rainy season, the interdisciplinary delegation proposed investing in emergency repair works to reinforce the slope from Km84+700 to Km84+800 of Provincial Road 547 to ensure safety for people and vehicles.
