The seminar "Energy saving: Key to survival in the face of global volatility" is about to take place

On April 9, in Hanoi, Lao Dong Newspaper will organize a seminar "Energy saving: Key to survival in the face of global fluctuations".

In the context of constantly fluctuating gasoline and electricity prices, along with prolonged instability in the global energy market, energy saving is no longer an option but has become an urgent requirement for all countries, including Vietnam.

Reality shows that energy is no longer a cheap and abundant resource as before. Each kilowatt of electricity or each liter of gasoline saved today not only helps reduce living and production costs but also contributes to ensuring national energy security.

From production and business activities to daily life, energy is directly impacting costs, business competitiveness and the stability of each family.

This pressure is increasing as energy demand continues to increase, while geopolitical factors such as conflicts in the Middle East continue to affect global supply.

This poses many challenges for Vietnam in ensuring stable and sustainable energy sources.

Faced with that reality, a series of questions are raised: What difficulties does Vietnam face in balancing energy supply and demand? Are current policies sufficiently effective? And more importantly, how should each individual and organization act to use energy more economically and efficiently?

In order to find solutions to these problems, a seminar with the theme "Energy saving: Key to survival against global fluctuations" will be held.

The event gathered experts, business representatives and representatives of state management agencies, focusing on analyzing the current situation of Vietnam's energy system, pointing out strengths and weaknesses when facing shocks from the world market.

Not only stopping at identifying the problem, the seminar also aims to propose practical and long-term solutions.

In which, the synchronous application of directives and legal regulations on energy saving and efficiency is identified as an important foundation.

At the same time, initiatives on technology, energy governance and transition to sustainable energy sources are also emphasized.

However, policies and efforts from businesses will hardly be effective without the joint efforts of the people.

In fact, with just small changes in daily habits such as turning off electrical appliances when not in use, optimizing energy consumption or choosing fuel-efficient vehicles, each person can contribute to creating a big impact.

Energy saving is therefore not a story of the future, but an action that needs to be taken right from today.

Using energy intelligently and efficiently not only helps reduce immediate costs but also creates a foundation for a sustainable and environmentally friendly economy.

Participating in the seminar "Energy saving: Key to survival in the face of global volatility" will be:

- Mr. Cu Huy Quang - Head of Energy Efficiency and Green Transformation Department - under the Department of Innovation, Green Transformation and Industrial Promotion, Ministry of Industry and Trade.

- Mr. Le Anh Duong - Deputy General Director of Hanoi City Power Corporation (EVNHANOI).

- Dr. Tran Van Mieu - Vice President of the Vietnam Association for Conservation of Nature and Environment.
