Ho Chi Minh City - Dien Bien flight route to reopen

    Dien Bien - Vietnam Airlines Corporation is about to operate the Ho Chi Minh City - Dien Bien - Hanoi route.

    According to a source from Lao Dong Newspaper, on December 2, Vietnam Airlines Corporation has just sent a document to the People's Committee of Dien Bien province regarding the plan to operate the Ho Chi Minh City - Dien Bien - Hanoi route.

    Accordingly, the Ho Chi Minh City - Dien Bien - Hanoi route will be operated with a frequency of 2 flights/week every Monday and Wednesday, from December 24, 2025.

    The expected operating time frame is Ho Chi Minh City. Ho Chi Minh City - Dien Bien, take off at 9:35, land at 11:55; Dien Bien - Hanoi, take off at 12:30, land at 1-25. Using the Airbus A321.

    In the document, Vietnam Airlines Corporation hopes that the People's Committee of Dien Bien province will provide maximum support in terms of policy mechanisms to maintain flights to Dien Bien.

    In addition, receive maximum support in terms of infrastructure, site clearance and in coordination with relevant units as well as ensure stable fuel supply for exploitation.

    Currently, Vietnam Airlines is the only airline operating the Hanoi - Dien Bien route and vice versa.
