Over the past few days, Khanh Hoa province has been experiencing prolonged heavy rains. Bad weather combined with complex terrain has caused landslides in many locations on the pass.

At some landslide locations, large amounts of soil, rocks, and fallen trees spilled onto the road. Many vehicles passing through this route were forced to turn around to ensure safety.

Currently, the authorities have identified three landslide locations on Khanh Le Pass - the section passing through Khanh Hoa province. These are at Km 54, Km 59 and Km 42+350.
