Speaking to Lao Dong reporter at noon on November 14, Mr. Zoram Buon - Chairman of Hung Son Commune People's Committee said that the horrific landslide occurred at around 9:20 a.m. the same day in But village (Hung Son commune), the section bordering Ch'Om commune and the old Gary commune.

The unusual thing is that landslides occurred in the middle of the sun. An entire hill in the natural forest area suddenly collapsed, causing a huge amount of rock and soil to completely bury a section of DH 4 road.

According to the report of the village chief, at the time of the landslide, there were 7 local people going to produce (playing on the fields) below the landslide site.

"We have completely lost contact with these 7 people. The authorities are trying their best to contact them.

Hopefully, people will see the landslide and panic, so they can run into the forest or find a safe place nearby" - Mr. Buon expressed.

According to the Chairman of Hung Son commune, the authorities are present near the landslide area but have not been able to reach the scene due to the large amount of rock and soil and the dangerous situation.
