On July 19, Director of the Department of Home Affairs of Gia Lai province Pham Thi To Hai said that the province has developed a plan to organize training courses on leadership skills and the Law on Implementing Democracy at the Grassroots Level for Chairmen and Vice Chairmen of the People's Committees of 135 communes and wards in the area.
This is an activity to improve knowledge and management skills for commune-level leaders and cadres in accordance with the requirements of the 2-level local government model. At the same time, fully and promptly equip the basic contents of the Law on Grassroots Democracy Implementation 2022 and guiding documents for implementation. Thereby, helping commune-level leaders improve the ability to apply the law and the skills to organize the implementation of tasks in the locality, especially after the merger.
The time to organize the training courses takes place from July 23 to 26, each class lasts for 1 day in person. Specifically, class 1 (July 23) and class 2 (July 14) will be held in Quy Nhon ward; class 3 (July 26) will be held in Pleiku ward.
The content of the training program must ensure practicality, updatedness, and suitability with the duties and responsibilities of commune-level cadres and civil servants; organize learning seriously, on time, to the right subjects and ensure efficiency.
The Department of Home Affairs of Gia Lai province has issued a notice to call up students to send to the Chairmen and Vice Chairmen of the People's Committees of 135 communes and wards to attend the class as planned.
Previously, Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan issued a plan to train and foster commune-level cadres and civil servants in 2025. The classes are held in person or online, taking place from July 10 to 20. The participants are all cadres and civil servants working in 135 communes and wards across the province.
This is the first allowance since the commune-level government operated under the new model (July 1). The goal is to update and improve the professional qualifications and skills of grassroots cadres and civil servants, meeting the requirements of each job position, contributing to improving the operational efficiency of the local government apparatus.
