Recently, the Cam Lam - Vinh Hao Expressway Project Management Board sent a document to the Ministry of Transport, Project Management Board 85, and Ninh Thuan Provincial Police requesting support in handling the act of cutting and stealing underground street light cables on the Cam Lam - Vinh Hao Expressway.

Initial information on the evening of November 22, the Cam Lam - Vinh Hao highway patrol team discovered that the lighting at the Du Long intersection overpass (Bridge 7 - Loi Hai 1 Bridge - km68+574) was turned off.

Through inspection, it was discovered that thieves had stolen the underground copper cable of the 4 X 25 street light on the main route from km68+200 to km70+560 on the right of the route and at branches N5, N3 of Bridge 7. The total length of the underground cable of the street light lost was 1,282m, with a loss of about 450 million VND.

The Cam Lam - Vinh Hao project management board assessed that the thieves stole from the box culvert area from the stream on the left side of the route to avoid camera surveillance. After cutting the underground cable, the thieves also covered it up to erase the traces.
