Number of traffic accidents during Tet holiday in Lang Son decreased significantly

According to a report from the Traffic Safety Committee of Lang Son province, from January 25 to February 2, 2025, the whole province recorded 14 traffic accidents, a significant decrease compared to the Lunar New Year 2024.

Compared to the same period last year, the number of accidents decreased by 5 cases and the number of deaths decreased by 4 people.

During this time, the Traffic Police force deployed 496 patrol and control shifts with the participation of 2,602 officers and soldiers.

More than 2,000 vehicles were checked, 751 violations were detected and handled, mainly speeding, alcohol violations, driving in the wrong lane, and not having a driver's license.

Authorities have detained 382 vehicles and revoked driving licenses in 28 cases, with a total fine of nearly 2.9 billion VND.

According to the Traffic Police Department, Lang Son Provincial Police, traffic control measures will continue to be strengthened in the coming time to ensure order and safety in the area.
