Traffic accidents in Quang Tri drop sharply

Quang Tri recorded 280 traffic accidents in the first 11 months of 2025, a decrease of more than 25% compared to the same period in 2024.

On December 2, information from the Traffic Safety Committee of Quang Tri province said that in the first 11 months of 2025, the whole province had 280 traffic accidents (TNGT), a decrease of 94 cases compared to the same period in 2024, equivalent to 25.1%.

Of these, road traffic accidents accounted for 277 cases, railway accidents 2 cases and inland waterway accidents 1 case. The accidents killed 183 people (road 181 people; inland waterway and railway 1 person per route) and injured 194 people. Compared to the same period last year, the number of deaths decreased by 13 people (down 6.6%), the number of injuries decreased by 70 people (down 26.5%).

In November 2025 alone, there were 15 traffic accidents in the province, killing 12 people and injuring 6 others. On the road, the authorities have fined 1,340 cases of traffic safety violations, with a total fine of more than 4.25 billion VND; revoked 97 cases of driving licenses for a period of time and temporarily detained 404 vehicles.

In the first 11 months, the traffic accident situation in the province continued to decrease in all 3 criteria: number of cases, number of deaths and number of injuries.
