The meteorological agency warns that ships operating in the dangerous area are likely to face thunderstorms, tornadoes, strong winds and large waves.
On the night of November 27 and November 28, Khanh Hoa and Truong Sa sea areas will have scattered showers and thunderstorms; during thunderstorms, beware of tornadoes and strong gusts of wind.
At 4:00 p.m. on November 27, storm No. 15 was about 230km north-northeast of Song Tu Tay Island, with the strongest wind near the storm's center reaching level 12 (118-133km/h), gusting to level 15. The storm is moving mainly west at a speed of 5-10km/h.
At 4:00 p.m. on November 28, the center of the storm was located in the western sea area of the central East Sea, about 260km northwest of Song Tu Tay Island; the wind speed decreased to level 11, gusting to level 14.
On the night of November 28, people along Tran Phu and Pham Van Dong streets (Nha Trang ward) recorded a series of large waves continuously hitting the shore.
At some points, waves about 5m high hit the seawall area directly.
In the area of Tram Huong Tower, many strong waves have hit the foot of the stone embankment, making it difficult for people to travel.
