At noon on December 9, Quang Nam General Hospital is actively treating seriously injured patients in a particularly serious traffic accident that occurred in the early morning of the same day, on the Da Nang - Quang Ngai expressway.
Previously, in the early morning of December 9, the hospital's Emergency Department received 8 passengers in a state of multiple injuries. Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Van Khoa, Deputy Director in charge of the hospital, informed: "Most patients are very seriously injured, including traumatic brain injury, blood clotting - emphysema, broken ribs, collarbone... We are mobilizing maximum human resources to treat them".

Despite efforts to provide emergency care, Ms. Tran Thi Vinh (51 years old, Ninh Binh) did not survive due to severe injuries. This is the 4th victim who died in the accident. Previously, 3 other passengers died on the spot.
The 8 victims who were taken to the emergency room include: Vu Van Trinh (54 years old), Tran Thi Xuan (48 years old), Pham Van Kieu (39 years old), Hoang Thi Thuy (39 years old), Tran Thi Vinh (51 years old), Vu Thi Dong (23 years old), Hoang Van Trung (23 years old) and Nguyen Van Hanh (55 years old) - all residing in Ninh Binh.


According to initial verification, at 4:12 a.m., a 16-seat passenger car with license plate 29B-081.62 driven by Pham Van Kieu carrying 12 passengers was traveling on the expressway. When reaching Km71+200 (Bich Ngo village, Tam Xuan commune, Da Nang), the vehicle suddenly collided strongly with a tractor-trailer with license plate 15C-360.35, pulling a trailer 15R-149.06 driven by driver Bui Manh Thang (43 years old, Hai Phong).
The accident deformed the front of the passenger bus, the driver trapped was rescued by authorities in a state of serious injury. The Traffic Police Department of Da Nang City Police and Tam Xuan Commune Police were present at the scene, directed traffic and clarified the cause.
