HCMC - On March 10, Tan Son Nhat International Airport denied rumors of spreading the T3 terminal exploited since May 5, 2025, affirming that this is not official information.

In recent days, social networks have spread information that from May 5, terminal T3 will take over procedures for domestic flights of Vietnam Airlines and Vietjet Air, while the old terminal T1 (domestic terminal) will complete procedures for domestic flights operated by Bamboo Airways, Pacific Airlines, Vietravel Airlines and Vasco.

However, the representative of Tan Son Nhat International Airport affirmed that this is not information provided by the Port, passengers need to be careful when reading this information. Currently, the units have not yet officially announced the exploitation plan at terminal T3 as well as the existing terminal after terminal T3 is put into use.

According to Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV), the investor, the goal of completing and inaugurating Terminal T3 is set for the April 30, 2025 holiday. Currently, items such as completed architecture, roof steel structure and aircraft parking lot have reached a high construction volume.

The T3 terminal project started construction in December 2022 with a total investment of VND 10,990 billion. The project consists of four main items: passenger terminal, high-rise parking lot combined with non-airspace services, overpass system in front of the terminal and aircraft parking lot. When completed, terminal T3 will have a capacity of more than 20 million passengers/year, serving 7,000 passengers during peak hours, contributing to reducing the load on terminal T1.

Currently, airline service businesses at the airport are also actively preparing passenger service areas. Relevant units are speeding up the progress, ensuring the station is put into operation at the expected time.
