On December 2, the working delegation of the Military Region 9 Command led by Major General Nguyen Minh Trieu - Deputy Commander of Military Region 9 - worked with the People's Committee of An Giang province on the management and use of national defense land in the area.
At the meeting, the Military Region 9 Command presented the contents on removing difficulties and obstacles to quickly implement projects according to the direction of the Government in the Tho Chau special zone area.
The Provincial People's Committee and the Military Region 9 Command discussed the use of national defense land managed by the military region and its affiliated units in the province. At the same time, consider issues related to compensation, clearance and implementation of seaborne transportation plans to be able to quickly transport equipment, vehicles and engineers and workers to Tho Chau Special Zone to implement projects and works.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Ngo Cong Thuc - Vice Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee - requested relevant departments and branches to closely coordinate with the military region to grasp the situation of land management and use, especially for areas serving defense - economic combination purposes. At the same time, develop plans as soon as possible to create conditions for Tho Chau special zone to quickly implement projects in December 2025.
