On the morning of October 21, the ship BTh 97759 TS, captained by Mr. Tran Quang Y (born in 1984, residing in Phu Quy district, Binh Thuan), fishing for tuna, had a broken rudder shaft and drifted about 12 nautical miles southeast of Da Nam island.
The captain of ship BTh 97759 TS sent out a distress signal. At that time, Ship 468 of the Naval Region 4 Command was on patrol in the area of Da Nam Island, Truong Sa archipelago. Immediately after receiving orders from superiors, Ship 468 approached and towed ship BTh 97759 TS.

Currently, fishing boat BTh 97759 TS has been towed by ship 468 to Song Tu Tay island port to anchor.
Today, Binh Thuan fishing boats will enter the port to fix the damage.
