A fishing boat from Binh Thuan had a broken rudder shaft, drifted in Truong Sa and sent out a distress signal. Upon receiving the notification, a naval ship from Region 4 arrived and towed it into the dock.

On October 22, the Naval Region 4 Command said it had towed fishing boat BTh 97759 TS to anchor at the Song Tu Tay Island estuary to ensure safety.

On the morning of October 21, the ship BTh 97759 TS, captained by Mr. Tran Quang Y (born in 1984, residing in Phu Quy district, Binh Thuan), fishing for tuna, had a broken rudder shaft and drifted about 12 nautical miles southeast of Da Nam island.

The captain of ship BTh 97759 TS sent out a distress signal. At that time, Ship 468 of the Naval Region 4 Command was on patrol in the area of ​​Da Nam Island, Truong Sa archipelago. Immediately after receiving orders from superiors, Ship 468 approached and towed ship BTh 97759 TS.

Currently, fishing boat BTh 97759 TS has been towed by ship 468 to Song Tu Tay island port to anchor.
