On the afternoon of November 12, Nhat Le Border Guard Station (Quang Tri Provincial Border Guard) said that at about 11:50 a.m. the same day, at Nhat Le estuary, the fishing boat QB 911.38 TS, consisting of 8 crew members, captained by Mr. Hoang Viet Thanh (born in 1992, residing in Ha village, Bao Ninh commune, Quang Tri province), was sunk by a large wave, about 500m from shore.
The ship is 16.5m long, 450CV capacity, cages, and departs at 0:15 on November 8. The ship owner is Mr. Hoang Viet Quang (born in 1974, also residing in Ha village, Bao Ninh commune).
Immediately after receiving the report, Nhat Le Border Guard Station mobilized 8 officers and soldiers directly commanded by the Deputy Station Leader to urgently use vehicles to the scene to organize rescue and report to superiors to coordinate the rescue.
According to the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper at Nhat Le beach, by the afternoon of the same day, the authorities had rescued all 8 fishermen in distress.
