On August 6, Can Tho City Police said that Colonel Bui Duc An - Deputy Director of the City Police, along with the working delegation and Dong Phuoc Commune Police, visited Can Tho City Central General Hospital to visit, encourage and give gifts to support comrade Bui Tan Tai, a member of the Security and Order Team (ANTT) of Dong Phuoc Commune, who was injured while performing the task of ensuring security and order in the area.

According to Can Tho City Police, on the night of August 3, while coordinating security patrol in the area with the Commune Police force, to check and handle 2 subjects driving a motorbike carrying weapons and showing signs of resistance to the Police force.
While chasing the subject by motorbike, comrade Bui Tan Tai was suddenly kicked by a subject with his foot in the side of the motorbike, causing Comrade Tai to fall, break the rear rib and cause a missed spine.
After that, the Working Group promptly controlled the subjects, and at the same time, took comrade Tai to the Hospital for emergency care and treatment.
The case is currently being further investigated and strictly handled according to the provisions of the law.
