On January 11, information from the Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee said that Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi has just directed relevant units on the investment project to build the North-South Expressway in the West, Gia Nghia (Dak Nong) - Chon Thanh (Binh Phuoc) section.
The Chairman of Dak Nong province requested to proactively deploy and closely coordinate with Binh Phuoc province to complete related procedures. Thereby, promptly start construction, ensuring implementation progress (expected to be no later than September 2025).
Units focused on removing obstacles in bauxite planning, land filling, site clearance, resettlement arrangements, and arranging local budget funds to implement the project.
In the immediate future, proactively coordinate with Binh Phuoc province and the consulting unit to complete the feasibility study report of component project 1.
Early handover of the route and project scope. This is the basis for implementing component projects 2 and 4.
The provincial chairman requested to focus on speeding up and drastically implementing the site clearance work. Develop a project implementation plan in sync with the construction progress, and assign responsibility to each responsible leader.
In particular, do not let the situation drag on, affecting the progress, leading to increased compensation costs for site clearance, increased project implementation costs, and increased total investment...
Mr. Ho Van Muoi emphasized that the expressway must definitely start construction in 2025. Currently, Binh Phuoc has started construction on the road from Chon Thanh to Binh Duong connecting Ho Chi Minh City.
Therefore, when the Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh expressway comes into operation, it will be a huge turning point for Dak Nong province. It will shorten the time from Gia Nghia to Ho Chi Minh City to only 2 hours.
The Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh Expressway project has a total length of 128.8km, passing through Dak Nong and Binh Phuoc provinces, with a total investment of VND25,540 billion.
The project is expected to be basically completed in 2026 and put into operation in 2027. Currently, the Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee has allocated 250 billion VND for site clearance and construction of service roads.
