Recorded at the An Phu intersection construction site, hundreds of engineers, workers and machinery are rushing to construct to put the N4 overpass branch into operation on schedule.

Currently, the N4 bridge branch (direction from Dong Van Cong street to Mai Chi Tho) is being accelerated in construction of the approach span, expected to be completed by the end of June 2026.
Looking from above, the N4 overpass branch has taken shape. Previously, the N2 bridge branch (connecting from the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway access road turning left onto Mai Chi Tho avenue) and the N3 branch (directly connecting from Mai Chi Tho avenue turning left onto Dong Van Cong street to Cat Lai port) were put into operation, contributing to reducing traffic congestion in the area.

As of now, the N4 bridge branch is entering the final sprint phase. The construction site records that construction teams are busy pouring reinforced concrete for the bridge deck and accelerating to complete the connecting approach span. Contractors here are organizing overnight construction, mobilizing maximum manpower and machinery to simultaneously complete items such as: knitting steel platforms for the bridge deck, constructing railings, installing drainage systems, preparing asphalt paving and installing technical lighting systems.

When officially put into operation, branch N4 will take on the role of separating the flow of cars and container trucks from Dong Van Cong direction to the elevated road to the Mai Chi Tho axis. This solution helps completely eliminate cross-traffic conflicts with cars going straight under the ground intersection. This is extremely meaningful for the An Phu area, which is the gateway to trade with the highest density of container trucks in the city with an average of more than 20,000 vehicles entering and leaving Cat Lai port every day and night.

The An Phu intersection project, the largest in Ho Chi Minh City, started construction at the end of 2022, with a total capital of more than 3,400 billion VND, a scale of 3 floors with a modern overpass and underpass system. The project connects key traffic axes including the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway, Mai Chi Tho, Luong Dinh Cua, Nguyen Thi Dinh and Dong Van Cong boulevards. The total construction volume of the entire project reached about 75%, and the project is expected to be completed in the 4th quarter of 2026.
