On April 9, the Police of Ward 12, District 10 (HCMC) are investigating the cause of a person's death in Van Hanh Mall shopping mall.
Initial information, at more than 6:00 p.m. the same day, many people came to Van Hanh Mall shopping mall on Su Van Hanh Street, Ward 12 to have fun and shop. Then they heard a loud noise in the central hall.
Security guards and people then ran over and discovered a dead person, next to blood clots. Ward 12 police and medical staff then arrived at the scene to investigate the cause.
The witness said that this person left his backpack and sandals and fell to the ground to death.
On the evening of April 9, a representative of the People's Committee of Ward 12, District 10, Ho Chi Minh City confirmed the incident of a young man falling from a high floor and dying at Van Hanh Mall.
In the ground floor of the commercial center, the authorities noted a young man who died. Through extracting images from the surveillance camera system of Van Hanh Mall, the functional force determined that the victim had jumped from the 7th floor railing to the lobby.


The victim was identified as a male, born in 1993 (32 years old), residing in Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa province. Witnessnesses at the scene said that before the incident, the victim left a backpack and sandals.
Currently, the authorities are carrying out necessary legal procedures to clarify the cause of the incident, however, initially it was determined that it could be a suicide. The incident shocked and mourned many people present at the shopping mall at the time of the incident.
Previously, on March 17, a male teenager, born in 2010, also fell to the floor and died at Van Hanh Mall, suspected of committing suicide by jumping off the floor. Through the scene investigation, the authorities discovered the body of a teenager with two samples of student notebooks. A form stating personal information, along with parents' phone number. The remaining sample recorded a letter of resentment with content that discouraged life.
