Quang Binh - The Tet market in Dong Hoi City is bustling, flower prices are reduced; pork, candy, and decorations are stable, meeting people's shopping needs.

As Lunar New Year approaches, the shopping market in Dong Hoi (Quang Binh province) has become more vibrant. This year, prices of essential goods have fluctuated slightly.

Ms. Xuan Ha (36 years old, in Dong Hoi City) said that the price of flowers this year has decreased compared to last year. Last year, chrysanthemums cost 65,000 VND/bunch, now they cost only 50,000 VND/bunch.

Pork prices are currently at 140,000 VND/kg; stable compared to last year. Bananas are sold at prices ranging from 200,000 - 700,000 VND per bunch, depending on the size of the fruit, beautiful or ugly, stable compared to last year.

The market for confectionery and Tet decoration stalls in Dong Hoi this year is relatively stable, not much changed compared to last year.

To ensure price stability and avoid unreasonable price increases during Tet, Dong Hoi City People's Committee has established an interdisciplinary team to inspect compliance with legal regulations on prices, fees and charges at markets and business establishments in the area.

During the first days of inspection, most of the traders and businesses complied well with the regulations on posting and selling goods at the correct price. However, some minor errors were still discovered, such as not posting prices clearly or selling goods at prices other than the listed price. The interdisciplinary team reminded and requested the market management boards and businesses to strengthen propaganda and strictly implement the regulations on prices, fees, and charges.

The inspection activities aim to correct violations such as collecting fees, charges, and service prices that are not in accordance with the regulations of the Provincial People's Committee; posting unclear prices or selling at prices not listed.

The inspection team will strictly handle cases of intentional violations, especially unreasonable price increases during Tet, affecting consumers.

Thanks to the strict control of the government and the compliance of traders, the Tet market in Dong Hoi City this year is generally stable, without major fluctuations. This creates favorable conditions for people to shop and prepare for a full and cozy Tet.
