According to the forecast, from today, September 18 to September 21, in Thua Thien Hue province, there will be heavy rain, very heavy rain and scattered thunderstorms. During thunderstorms, it is necessary to be on guard against tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.
The heaviest rain will be concentrated from this evening, September 18 to noon, September 20. Total rainfall for the entire period is generally 150 - 300mm, with some places over 450mm. Warning level of natural disaster risk due to heavy rain: level 1.
Heavy rain is likely to cause floods, flash floods, landslides and rock slides in mountainous areas and along small rivers and streams in A Luoi, Nam Dong, Phong Dien, Phu Loc districts and Huong Tra town.
The Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control of Thua Thien Hue province recommends that localities should proactively guard against rain with an intensity of over 70mm/1 hour and over 120mm/3 hours, which can cause flooding in low-lying areas downstream of small rivers in the province; urban flooding and areas with poor drainage systems in districts, towns and Hue city.
