The project to consolidate, complete and handle landslides on the Con Tron and Hai Thinh sea dykes (Hai Hau district, Nam Dinh province) has a total investment of about 500 billion VND, with the implementation period of 2022 - 2025. The scale of the project is divided into 4 sea dyke areas, including: Con Tron, Hai Thinh II, Hai Thinh III and Thinh Long embankment.
According to the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper, in early June, in the sea dike area of Thinh Long town (Hai Hau district), many machines, equipment and workers were constructing items here.
Mr. Vu Van Quyet - Commander of the project to consolidate, complete and handle the erosion of the Con Tron sea dike, Hai Thinh (Hai Hau district) - said that up to now, the project has achieved about 60% of the workload. To ensure progress, the construction unit has arranged more than 100 workers and many machines and equipment to work at the construction site.

"This is a sea dike project, so during the working process, we have to construct an underwater area dependent on tides. Depending on the time of day, every time the tide comes down, all human resources are gathered to coordinate to quickly complete the work before the water rises. Many underwater items of the project have also been basically constructed by us to facilitate the next tasks, ensuring safety for the upcoming storm season," said Mr. Quyet.
According to the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Nam Dinh province, the project to consolidate and handle landslides on the Con Tron and Hai Thinh sea dykes (Hai Hau district) when completed will prevent landslides, reduce waves, create alluvium, and enhance safety for the existing sea dykes. In addition, protecting residents and essential infrastructure inside the dike; serving natural disaster prevention and control, and rescue of sea dykes when incidents occur, contributing to stabilizing residents and developing the socio-economy of the area.
