Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3, passing through Binh Duong province, is about 26.6km long, with a total investment of VND 19,280 billion. The project is divided into 2 component projects.
In which, component project 5 is construction and installation divided into 4 construction packages of more than 11km of roads and connecting bridges. The construction package of Binh Chuan intersection started at the end of June 2023, and by the end of September 2024, the construction had reached 122 billion VND/490 billion VND, reaching over 25% of the contract volume.
The Binh Goi bridge construction package started at the end of August 2023. Up to now, the construction has reached 269/569 billion VND, reaching 47.4% of the contract volume.
The construction package from Binh Chuan to Saigon River started in January 2024. Up to now, the construction has reached 185/1,654 billion VND, over 11% of the contract volume.
Tan Van intersection construction package started at the end of April 2024, construction progress reached 19.3% of project volume.
Mr. Nguyen Huu Tuan - Deputy Director of the Department of Transport of Binh Duong province said that the total construction packages have so far spent 1,412/3,237 billion VND (reaching 44.6%).
For component project 6, site clearance and resettlement have a total investment of 13,528 billion VND.
Binh Duong province has focused on site clearance, following the construction progress of the packages. Currently, the total area of recovered land and available land is 125/129ha (reaching 97.6%).
Mr. Nguyen Huu Tuan - Deputy Director of the Department of Transport of Binh Duong province, said that the compensation disbursement to date has reached 7,770/8,403 billion VND (over 92%).
15.3km is expected to be invested nearly 1 billion USD to make 4 lanes expressway
Regarding the 15.3km section of Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 that overlaps with the existing My Phuoc Tan Van Road, Binh Duong Province has held many meetings to discuss the investment plan for this section. The province has also reported to the Prime Minister to seek his opinion on the investment plan.
According to records, a 15.3km section starting from a point near National Highway 1A to Binh Chuan intersection has been built with a 6-lane road. Currently, this section of road is often overloaded and congested.
Binh Duong province plans to invest in phase 1 to clear land on one side of My Phuoc Tan Van road and build a 4-lane elevated highway bridge, with an investment capital of about 1 billion USD.
