Recently, people in Binh Duong continue to pay attention to the construction of the 1,500-bed Binh Duong General Hospital in Dinh Hoa Ward, Thu Dau Mot City. According to people, this hospital has been under construction for a long time and needs to be urgently accelerated to complete and put into operation soon.
Regarding the above issue, according to the Binh Duong Provincial Electronic Information Portal, recently, the Binh Duong Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board has responded to voters' petitions.
Up to now, the 1,500-bed General Hospital project is being urgently completed by the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board and contractors, focusing resources to complete according to the contractor's committed schedule.
For package 1, the volume of work performed to date has reached about 92.3% of the contract. The remaining work mainly consists of installing terminal equipment such as cameras, and the MEP system is still under construction.
For the arising volumes of group 5, the contractor is implementing construction, expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2025.
For package 2, the construction part has been basically completed, but the terminal equipment volume still has to wait for complete installation, synchronized with the entire system, expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2025.
Regarding the solution, the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board has developed a detailed plan for each work content, assigned responsibilities, and implementation time. Currently, relevant agencies and units are closely coordinating on each work content.
The Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board actively urged contractors to speed up the import of new operating room equipment and complete construction.
Regarding the implementation plan for completion and exploitation, the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board said that the construction of the project is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2025.
By the fourth quarter of 2025, the systems will be tested and operated, and the overall project will be completed. The organization will invite specialized agencies to inspect the acceptance and handover of the project for use.
2,300 billion VND hospital project is behind schedule
The project has an investment capital of about 2,300 billion VND. The project allocated capital to start building the foundation in late 2014. However, the project then stopped construction for nearly 3 years. It was not until late 2018 that construction began again and was promised to be completed around June 2020. However, after many delays, many items are still unfinished and the items cannot be connected to each other.
