On November 16, Economic - Defense Group 337 (Military Region 4) confirmed that the unit's Martyr Remains Collection Team had just discovered and collected 1 martyr's remains.
The martyrs' remains were discovered on November 15 during the process of expanding the area where martyrs' remains were discovered in Ta Rung village (Huc commune, Huong Hoa district, Quang Tri province).
The martyr's remains were found at a depth of 1.2m, wrapped intact in a hammock with 32 teeth, jaw bone, arm bone, wrist bone, and thigh bone.
Accompanying relics include the whole shirt, parachute cord, belt, buttons, gold star balm bottle, shoe soles...
Currently, the martyrs' remains have been brought back to burn incense and be preserved at the spiritual cultural area of Huong Hoa district.
It is known that in Ta Rung village, from July 2024 to now, 11 martyrs' remains have been collected. The martyrs' remains were found, all wrapped intact in coffins and hammocks; the graves were in a straight line, 1-2m apart.
