According to the Lao Cai Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue, at 8:15 a.m. this morning (September 19), authorities found the body of a girl (born in 2018) in a landslide in Nam Tong village, Nam Luc commune, Bac Ha district.
Up to now, 14 bodies have been found, and 4 people are still missing in the landslide in Nam Tong.
Nine injured people are being treated at Lao Cai Provincial General Hospital.
Previously, a landslide occurred on the afternoon of September 9 in Nam Tong village, Nam Luc commune, leaving 18 people dead and missing.
Currently, forces continue to focus on zoning and identifying additional locations where people may be buried by landslides, and human resources, machinery, and vehicles are being mobilized to operate at maximum capacity to serve the search.
