On the afternoon of October 23, speaking with Lao Dong, Mr. Sam Quyet Tam - Deputy Chief of Office of the Minh Luong Commune Party Committee confirmed information about the discovery of the body of the last victim in the case of a pickup truck that has been missing for many days in the commune.

Currently, the units have handed over the victims to their families for burial according to local customs," Mr. Sam Quyet Tam added.

As Lao Dong reported, at around 7:30 a.m. on September 29, Mr. Hoang Van Dinh (born in 1988, manager of Tu Tren Hydropower Plant - Nam Xe) was driving a Nissan Navara coffee pickup truck with license plate 24A-348.02, moving in the direction of Nam Xe - Van Ban.
On the bus were Mr. Hoang Duc Giang (born in 1990, residing in Van Ban commune) and Mr. Phung Van Tuan (born in 1980, residing in Tu Ha village, Nam Xe commune).
After reviewing the camera system, the authorities determined that at about 7:56 a.m. on September 29, this vehicle passed through National Highway 279, the gas station section of Minh Luong commune.
Notably, at around 8:00 a.m. the same day, in Minh Ha village 3 (Minh Luong commune), a serious landslide occurred, burying about 100m of road, with an estimated volume of rock and soil of about 1,000m3.
By noon on October 2, the authorities had found the pickup truck carrying 3 people who had been missing since September 29.

According to the authorities, the car was lying deep under a layer of rock and soil at a landslide on National Highway 279 in Minh Ha village 3, Minh Luong commune, Lao Cai province.
Rescue work encountered many difficulties due to the large amount of landslides.
After many hours of effort, the units cleared the rocks and soil and brought the two bodies, Hoang Van Dinh and Hoang Duc Giang, out on the morning of October 3.
