Information from Loc Ha commune said that at 4:00 a.m. on November 12, relatives and authorities found the body of fisherman Nguyen Van H (born in 1973, residing in Yen Diem village, Loc Ha commune) 150m from the coast.
The victim's body has been handed over to his family for burial according to local customs.
Previously, at 4:30 p.m. on November 11, Mr. Nguyen Van H and his son Nguyen Van Q (born in 2008) took a boat to fish in the sea area of Yen Diem village.
The boat then suddenly capsized about 500m from shore. At this time, Mr. Q had swam to shore himself, while Mr. H was missing.
Upon receiving the information, the Cua Sot Border Guard Station coordinated with the authorities of Loc Ha commune, Loc Ha commune police and a number of local fishermen to search, rescue and save lives.
