On the afternoon of May 24, information from the government of Sin Cheng commune said that the rescue force had found the body of Mr. N.V.Q. H (residing in Na Pa village, Sin Cheng commune) after many days of missing on the Chay River.
Previously, at about 1 pm on May 22, Mr. H and two others came to swim in the Chay River area (belonging to Pha Long commune).
Because at this time upstream had localized heavy rain, causing the water level to suddenly rise, the water flow was fiercely fast, Mr. H was unfortunately swept away by the fierce water and went missing.
Immediately after receiving information about the incident, the Party committees and authorities of Sin Cheng and Pha Long communes immediately activated the "4 on-the-spot" motto.
A large-scale search operation was urgently deployed, mobilizing a total of 452 participants.

The force includes: Police, Military, Civil Defense Command, commune officials and civil servants, teachers, departments, branches, unions and a large number of local people and victims' families.
After nearly 3 days and nights (from May 22 - 24), continuously searching regardless of difficult weather, until about 1:40 pm on May 24, functional forces discovered Mr. H's body in the Chay riverbank area of Coc Re village, Sin Cheng commune. The location where the victim was found is about 250m from the accident site.
After completing legal procedures according to regulations, the local government handed over the victim's body to the family for funeral arrangements.
