On the evening of December 14, Dong Nai Provincial Police coordinated with relevant forces and localities to discover the location of a car that crashed into the Dong Nai bridge railing and then fell into the river, and found a female body inside the car.
Previously, at around 6:05 p.m. on December 14, Dong Nai Provincial Police received a report that a Hyundai i10 car with license plate number 60K-460.56 climbed onto the Dong Nai bridge and fell into the Dong Nai river (in Binh Thang ward, Di An city, Binh Duong province).
Immediately after receiving the news, Dong Nai Provincial Police urgently deployed forces to the scene to organize search and rescue work.
At around 8:30 p.m. the same day, authorities located the crashed car in the Dong Nai River, not far from the shore, on the Binh Duong province side.
Professional rescue team dived and tied ropes to the car to prevent it from drifting. Through search and rescue work, 1 victim's body was found inside the car, the car door and glass were blown out of the car so the exact number of victims is not yet determined.
Rescue forces are continuing to coordinate with other forces to salvage cars and search for people.
