On November 12, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction issued a notice to adjust traffic organization on the My Phuoc - Tan Van route, passing through the wards of Binh Duong, Chanh Hiep, Phu Loi, Thuan Giao, An Phu, Tan Dong Hiep, Dong Hoa.
Accordingly, from November 14, the organization of lane division on the My Phuoc - Tan Van route (from Binh Thang intersection to Phu Loi street and from Dien Bien Phu street to Vo Van Kiet street) will be adjusted as follows:
The road network near the road median strip is organized for all types of cars to circulate;
The route between the organization for cars and passenger cars with less than 25 seats, buses, trucks under 3.5 tons in circulation;
The sidewalk lane is open to motorbikes, 2 and 3-wheeled vehicles.
Vehicle controllers must comply with traffic controllers' commands and road signaling systems.
Previously, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction had issued a document requesting the investor to re-dividate the My Phuoc - Tan Van lane. This is to ensure traffic order and safety on this route.
According to records, the My Phuoc - Tan Van road section is about 25km long and is built with 6 lanes. This route has been in use since 2015, connecting through many industrial and urban development areas in Binh Duong area.
Every day, the route welcomes a large volume of freight vehicles, causing it to become increasingly overloaded, causing congestion and traffic congestion at major intersections.
Notably, recently, many trucks have been traveling on this route in violation of regulations, such as encroaching on lanes. This further increases traffic congestion and increases the risk of accidents. On November 8, an accident occurred on this route between a motorbike and a truck, killing 3 people.
