The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has just sent a document to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism asking for permission to organize fireworks displays within the framework of activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).
In order to spread a joyful and exciting atmosphere, contributing to serving the spiritual and cultural life of the people and tourists during this important holiday, Ho Chi Minh City proposed to organize an artistic fireworks display at a high-altitude location in Saigon Riverside Park (Thu Duc City).
According to the plan, the fireworks display will take place on 2 consecutive Saturday evenings (April 19 and 26, April 26), from 9:30 p.m. to 9:40 p.m. to serve people and tourists.
The program is expected to use 300 high-altitude firecrackers of different sizes, along with 45 low-altitude firecrackers and 5 fireworks displays with 35 firecracker tubes.
All organization funds are mobilized in the form of socialization, not using the State budget.
On the evening of April 30, the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City had previously proposed to launch fireworks at 7 locations, including: The area at the beginning of the tunnel crossing the Saigon River (Thu Duc City); Ben Duoc Martyrs Memorial Temple (Cu Chi District); Nga Ba Giong Martyrs Memorial Area (Hoc Mon District); Lang Le - Bau Co Relic Site (Binh Chanh District); Can Gio District Football Court; National History - Culture Park (Thu Duc City); Dam Sen Cultural Park (District 11).
