At 8:30 a.m. on September 30, authorities in Khanh Hoa were coordinating to investigate the scene of a serious traffic accident that occurred at Hon Ro roundabout, south of Binh Tan bridge, Nguyen Tat Thanh avenue (Phuoc Dong commune, Nha Trang city), causing the death of a worker.
Previously, at around 5:30 a.m. the same day, two workers were riding a motorbike to Hon Ro roundabout when they were suddenly hit from behind by a truck with license plate 79C-165.67 traveling in the same direction.
The strong collision caused the two motorcyclists to fall onto the road, the front right wheel of the truck ran over the motorcyclist, killing him on the spot. The person sitting behind the motorbike crawled out from under the car, suffering minor injuries.
Mr. N (from Da Nang City) - the injured victim, said - both of them worked as road workers. Early this morning, Mr. T (from Thanh Hoa) drove Mr. N on a motorbike from Cam Lam District (Khanh Hoa) along Nguyen Tat Thanh Street to work in Tuy Hoa City (Phu Yen).
"When we reached the above road, T slowed down to turn the corner. At that moment, I heard a car horn behind me. When I turned around, I saw the truck driver flashing his lights. Unexpectedly, the truck did not brake but rushed forward, hitting our motorbike straight on. Until now, I have not been able to call T's family to inform them," said Mr. N.
Nha Trang City Police are currently investigating the cause of the accident.
